Reflection

I think John Jay was a very trustful man. At least he was a successful man at his adulthood. If he was here right now, he can make the difference in school and influence all students that education is very important to their future and to this country. He had a good life that some people might wish. He was considered a genius since he was a young boy.

Statement of process

At the beginning of this project, I need to know the person's name and his life. Then understand his roles which play in building our nation during the American Revolution. After gathering information and learning at the same time, his roles and devotion to servicing this country with many accomplishments, I am proud to get to know him. I also learned how he died peacefully with dignity, honor and humility. Then I started to choose 5 most facts about John Jay. It took awhile to know who really is John Jay's enenmy and why? After that, I continued to write about the place he came from and how he lived. This was the time of American Revolution which our nation was very young and fragile. When John Jay became an adult, what type of living he had. Then I generate a listing of 10 vocabulary words which I chose as I was gathering information about him. Finally if he was alive, would I be his friend.

John Jay who served as a legislator, the Supreme Court Justice of the United States who helped the delegates formed the United States Constitution, the foundation of this nation, completed and an excellent negotiator which helped end the American Revolution devoted his life to his country with many talents, skills,courage, integrity and honor. John Jay is an American Hero.

Yes. I would be very honored to be a friend because he was our first Chief Justice of New York and the Supreme Court. His life was amazing and smart, but still how did he get accepted to Kings College at the age of 14? He was in books for being the first Chief Justice in our home state and the Supreme Court.

When British soldiers captured the city of Montreal, the French surrendered and signed a peace treaty.
8. revolution-an overthrow or repudiation and the thorough replacement of an established government or political system by the people governed.
When the second Continental Congress met in Philadelphia in May 1775, the American Revolution had already begun.
9. negotiate-to hold discussions to find agreement.
They believed they should negotiate with the Bristish government.
10. delegate-someone who speaks and acts for others.
They called for a meeting of delegates from the colonies to discuss British's actions.

What does the person do for a living?

In 1768 John Jay set up his private law practice. He later became the first Chief Justice of New York and then, the Supreme Court of the United States. In 1784-1789, John Jay served the Congress as Secretary of Foreign Affairs. He negotiated a Treaty with Britain and resigned from the Supreme Court.

He came from a village of Rye, New York. He lived on a farm with his parents and seven brothers and sisters. John learned two languages from his mom. He loved to read at a early age. His father thought his son, John, was a special boy.
